Lou Ottens, inventor of the cassette tape:https://www.dutchnews.nl/news/2021/03/dutch-inventor-of-the-audio-cassette-tape-dies-aged-94/Good thing the pencil was invented first.
Just heard Marvelous Marvin Hagler has died.
Yaphet Kotto, who was the villain in “Live and Let Die”. And was also in Homicide: life in the streets, died at 81. He was in a bunch of other stuff too. https://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-56412867
I remember him as Idi Amin in the Raid on Entebbe.
he was a key part of Brubaker too IIRC
I forgot that he was originally offered the role of Jean-Luc Picard, bout turned it down. He later said,”yeah, I should have done that.”That would have been different.
Source for that? I've seen that he was on the consideration list but never that he was actually offered the role.
You also turned down the role of Captain Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation?I think I made some wrong decisions in my life, man. I should have done that but I walked away. When you’re making movies, you’d tend to say no to TV. It’s like when you’re in college and someone asks you to the high school dance. You say no.
