Traded to the Yankees? Red Sox?
For what? More cash?

I was just kidding because he said tonight. No games tonight except for Yankees and Red Sox.

I'd be fine with trading Stevenson if we can get something for him of value. :)

I doubt we see him again this year.

Via Dougherty: strasburg had a setback and is back to throwing on flat ground.

Stephen Strasburg told Davey Martinez his neck still didn't "feel right" after his simulated game last weekend in San Diego. He's still playing catch from long distance, but they will need to decide when to put him back on a mound again

Strasburg threw 32 pitches off a mound today with no issues per Davey.  Other updates via Zuckerman:

Quote
* Kyle Schwarber, who has begun taking light swings in the batting tunnel while being careful not to risk further straining his right hamstring.
* Yan Gomes, who has not been cleared yet to swing until his strained oblique muscle allows it.
* Alex Avila, who appears close to returning from the pair of calf strains he suffered while playing second base in an emergency on July 1.
* Joe Ross, who won’t start Tuesday as originally hoped, but is not expected to miss much more time with right elbow inflammation.
* Tanner Rainey, who threw 20 pitches off a mound today, the first time he’s done that since going on the IL with a stress reaction in his lower right leg on June 28.

Any word on Kieboom? Rochester roster lists him an on the DL, still. Garcia is off it, but the Redwings gave not posted tonight's lineup.

he had a knee injury, came back from it, and appears to have re-injured it.

Back to Rochester active list. Started as DH last night, pulled about the 4th or 5th inning. Hope it's just caution.

Escobar's x-ray came back clean. "golf-ball sized lump on the muscle" per Davey, I assume he's day-to-day.

Zuckerman says Escobar could start tonight, he's meeting with trainers now.

Schwarber running agility drills in the OF today, hopefully he's ready for a rehab stint soon.

Schwarber and agility aren't often used in the same sentence, but this  is good news.

Agile enough to turn on that ball. Good enough for me.

Much more agile than a reverse-cheering crew of NY fans imagined. When daughter and I saw the Nats play the Mets and then the Yankees, there were four or five college-boys who kept yelling, "Schwarber, you're fat!". Every inning he took the field and every time he batted. Seemed like the same dummies.

Also managed to not get a hit on a night when his team got 13 and scored 9 runs

Stephen Strasburg had an "uncomfortable" feeling his neck in a recent throwing session and has been backed down, according to Dave Martinez. Said the team is looing at next options, whether that's to see another specialist, etc. Not good.

So basically 2 years of nothing from him on a 7 year contract.  I guess at least the first year we could say short Covid season so it doesn;t matter.  Does not look good for the next 5 years.
