It's trapezius tightness. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

The last time he went on the IL with a trap injury, he was back in 3 weeks.  But then he made 3 starts and missed another month.  So it's not great, especially given the litany of injuries his body produces.

Rizzo confirmed trap/neck today. Said it was "tightness"  and Stras wanted to pitch through it.

Last time it was 3 weeks. Gotta think that its at least 6 this go around

Last time

do they fly, amtrak, drive, or bus back and forth to Rochester? Whatever, I hope he's getting mileage points

I just assume McGowin never leaves the squad, they just say theyre sending him down. He hangs out at the hotel, charges room service to Corbin, and gets "called up", a couple days earlier

He’s available tonight so he may have already been on the trip. They still have a taxi squad this year, right?

I like McGowin. That slider can dominate

Stras’s MRI showed nerve irritation per Davey. Nothing structural.

Schwarber was fine after the game but will be re-evaluated tomorrow. Knee locked up.

"Nerve irritation" with no known cause is hardly a positive thing.  Yeah, it's better than a torn labrum, but it's not exactly a clean MRI.

Stephen Strasburg is shut down from throwing right now, according to Dave Martinez, and only doing lower-body exercises.

"Right now, it's nerve irritation, we want it to go away and quiet down a little bit, and we'll go from there."

Dave Martinez says that there is a good chance that Stephen Strasburg has a follow-up appointment with another specialist in the coming days. When asked what that specialist would be evaluating, Martinez did not specify.

Thoracic Outlet?  I think WJ73 mentioned that it can be a  nerve squeeze as well as vessels like Harris has.

There are three kinds of TOS - neurogenic (nerve is squeezed as it passes through the thoracic outlet in the shoulder), venous (vein is squeezed), and arterial (artery is squeezed). The most common by far is neurogenic. The other two types are much more rare and are often misdiagnosed.

Honestly, the season was over when Stras got hurt.

Max having a nagging injury kills his trade value and negates any chance of a quick retooling

Max says he’s day-to-day with a minor groin strain. MRI was clean

It looked like a precautionary removal. He would not have tried to stretch so much on the mound if he completely blew it

Max's words were there wasn't a strain on the mri, just inflammation.

How does Max get an MRI during the game, when others are like out a few days before they get one?

I misheard. Thanks

Here’s his quote:

Now, fortunate enough, got the MRI back and the good news is that it's not a muscle strain," he said. "It's just a little inflammation of the abductor — fascia of the abductor. Something like that. Basically it's not a muscle strain.

Hudson to the 10 day IL with elbow inflammation. Jefry Rodriguez called up. Harris to the 60-day IL

let's see if our prime trade bait can systematically become devalued through a series of injuries.
