So who’s QB next year?
Call Houston then hang up when they tell you price for Watson. Then call Detroit and put the 1st on the table for Stafford. That and maybe a future 2nd or 3rd? I'd be down. This team has too many good pieces to take a risk on drafting a QB, even if they trade up.

Stafford at minimum give you a few years of average to above average QB play. Right now, we have a young, cheap defense. Have to strike while the iron is hot.  Haskins two years ago and Tua now are proof there are no guarantees in the draft.

Bring this core back, add a veteran QB, a #2 WR, and another safety, and come back with real expectations.

Stafford is garbage.   We need to do everything we can to trade up to number two or three and select Wilson from BYU

Stafford is actually really good. He's just always had crap teams and no running game.

If we had Stafford this season, this is probably a 9 or 10 win team and we likely beat the Bucs

He’s not really good.   He’s a pick machine who played with the best WR of his generation.

He's thrown for 119 touchdowns and 46 interceptions since Johnson retired. That's five more than Tom Brady. Thats one less than Russel Wilson. And since we're comparing, Washington quarterbacks have thrown 69 interceptions in that same time frame. Post megatron Stafford averages fewer interceptions per 16 game season than Alex Smith.

Hardly a "pick machine"

He’s not bad. I guess the question is do you want to spend big dollars on him as a stopgap for a couple of years or go with something cheaper until you find a long term answer.

Smith should be back next season. Perhaps they draft another QB and have Smith mentor him.

Not sure you can count on Smith. Seems a minor calf injury kept him mostly out for almost a month. Great story but they need to be realistic.

Why would we care about spending? We have more than enough cap space and the cap is going to increase.

The only real question is are you willing to give up draft capital to get him?

Why do you think that will happen?

Revenue increases. Itll go down in 2021, and then shoot back up 2022 and especially in 2023, when TV deals get renegotiated

Carr to DC?

https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/football-team/report-washington-could-pursue-derek-carr-3-way-deshaun-watson-trade

Broncos could be 0-16 if this happens.

2 1st Rounders for Carr?   :hysterical:

Lou Reed would say, "Somewhere there's a GM laughing til he wets his pants."

Doesn’t Snyder have to want to sell the team?

Was that Lou Dobbs last scoop??

It sounds like he might try and buy in to the minority shares.  Chump change for him.

right move would be minority investor with right of first refusal if Snyder puts the team up.
