That ending was hilarious.
Was trying to decide which way is the more painful way to lose-blown out the whole game Ala the Pats, or dumbest call ever to end a close game-decided dumb is way more painful. Made me feel better about the loss last night

I felt much better about the Eagles getting blown out after seeing the Cowgirls lose that way.  Of course even if they get another play off it's like a 3% chance they score a touchdown.  They were dominated most of the day and only a dumb Jimmy G interception let them back in it.  Big loss for a team whose fans thought they were going to the Super Bowl.  I believe they have the most years since appearing in he NFC championship other than Detroit and Washington.  Great company.

Looks like GB and TB again to me in the NFC.

I wish I could find it, but someone posted a 10 year challenge photo, with the ten year old photo being Romo with his head in his hands after the Cowboys lost a playoff game.

Dak is arguably the most overrated QB in the NFL. I wonder if JJ makes a move to try and get Russell Wilson.

With KC making its fourth straight appearance.

Cowboys die this season. As they should.

From the Athletic:

Quote
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott praised angry fans for throwing bottles and other debris onto the field after the team's 23-17 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. During his postgame news conference, Prescott initially expressed disappointment when told fans were throwing trash at players, but when it was clarified they were aiming at the officiating crew, he responded: "Credit to them."

Officials drew ire from the Dallas crowd after appearing to delay and get in the way of Prescott's attempt to spike the ball with seconds remaining in the game. The Cowboys had, controversially, called a QB draw while down a touchdown with 14 seconds left in the game and no timeouts. Prescott handed the ball to the center rather than an official and ultimately did not get the spike off in time, ending the game.

"The fans felt the same way as us," Prescott said after the game. "I guess that’s why the refs took off and got out of there so fast. I think everybody is upset with the way this thing played out.”

I hope the cowboys get Wilson. He is so washed up at this point, he’d be great as a cowboy or eagle. Of course, Snyder will probably trade three firsts for him

bad play call compounded by Dak not knowing the rule that the official has to handle the ball before the play can start, so it is the official's fault.  There's a social commentary in this about not accepting responsibility, blame shifting, etc...  The ump was in a full run trying to get to the line to allow to put the ball in play, and had to push aside some big butts in order to get to the ball.

just change the rule to allow teams to spot their own ball, it would make the games far more interesting.

They were three yards further down the field than the spot should have been (this one possession after they reviewed an inch difference in spotting the ball). If Dak had taken the ball to an official, it might not have been an issue, and it definitely wouldn’t have if they hadn’t called that dumb a play

Romo noted Dak needed to realize he only had a few seconds to run and then go down. Instead he tried to stretch the play. Just dumb all around.

factoid of the day: "Since joining the NFL in 1995, the Jacksonville Jaguars have as many playoff wins as the Dallas Cowboys."

Makes you wonder how much they actually practiced it.

Well that is unfortunate. Helmet on helmet. Uggh.

The games this weekend were bad.  Hoping for some better football next weekend.  Should be some good matchups. The only mismatch to me seems SF in Green Bay.

Dallas Cowboys: now 26 consecutive seasons and counting without a Super Bowl trip, let alone a Super Bowl win.

Trying to catch up to the WFT but that seems improbable.
