Sad testimony, isn't it?  Values are values, unless the potential cancelee has some entertainment value...

Well Kareem Hunt and Tyreek Hill are still NFL superstars, so hardly the first time, and I'm sure I'm forgetting other in-their-prime guys who never faced consequences. Big Ben is of course another but man that feels like ages ago.

There's quite a bit of smoke here, doesn't look great for Watson.

The value of a top rate quarterback is pretty much infinite, so.... if Greg Hardy can get a roster spot after beating, strangling and threatening to kill his girlfriend and then throwing her on a couch with 20-30 illegal guns, Ain’t crap happening to Deshaun Watson.

Filed to ESPN: Dolphins trading No. 3 overall pick to the San Francisco 49ers for the No. 12 pick, a 2021 third-round pick (SF’s comp pick for Robert Saleh hiring) and first-round picks in 2022 and 2023, per sources.

Blockbuster deal with massive ramifications for years to come.

The Eagles have traded the 6th pick in the draft to Miami for 12 and a 2022 first-rounder.

draft a qb, let garopolo play until he's hurt, then bring in the kid.

The Eagles also traded a fourth round pick to get a third round pick this year.  Theoretically they could have three first round picks next year if Wentz plays 75% of Indy’s snaps. Still not sure I understand trading down for them.

Which first round pick did they trade to the eagles for next year? I think it will make a big difference.

Not sure what you mean?  They have the Dolphins regular 1st pick.  They also have Indy's second round which turns into their 1st round if Wentz plays 75% of the snaps.  Probably neither will be very high but quantity is nice I suppose.

The Dolphins have two first round picks in 2022. Their regular one and the one the acquired from the 49ers in the trade. The former I expect to be valuable. The latter not as much.

I believe it’s their regular pick. Haven’t read anything that it was the 9ers pick.

Darnold to the Panthers for a 2021 sixth-round pick along with a second and fourth-round selection in 2022.

Seems like a steal for the Jets. And it means one of the top QBs is likely to be out there for Denver.

Quote
“By any measure of what constitutes an elite NFL career — wins, championships, production — Julian has it all,” Belichick said. “Few players can match Julian’s achievements, period, but considering his professional trajectory and longevity, the group is even more select. It is historic. This is a tribute to his legendary competitiveness, mental and physical toughness and will to excel. Day in and day out, Julian was always the same: all out. Then, in the biggest games and moments, with championships at stake, he reached even greater heights and delivered some of his best, most thrilling performances.

“For all Julian did for our team, what I may appreciate the most is he was the quintessential throwback player. He could, and did, do everything – catch, run, throw, block, return, cover and tackle – all with an edge and attitude that would not allow him to fail under any circumstance. Julian Edelman is the ultimate competitor and it was a privilege to coach him.”

He was a great part of some great teams. Also, Tommy didn’t make that incredible fingertip catch in the super bowl, that was all Jules :)
