If they can move the Baltimore Colts, they certainly can move the Baltimore Orioles.  Colts were far more popular than the Orioles during most of their time in Baltimore.

Since the Braves are owned by the publicly-traded Liberty Media corporation, they are the only team in baseball required to disclose their finances, providing some insight into how the COVID-19 pandemic impacted business.  Liberty Media revealed the particulars on Friday (Tim Tucker of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution has the details), with the Braves accounting for an operating loss of $49MM before depreciation and amortization in 2020.  In terms of pure revenues, the club generated $178MM.

As one might expect, these numbers each represent a significant decline from the Braves’ financial picture just one year ago.  In 2019, the Braves generated $476MM in revenues and had a $54MM profit (before depreciation and amortization).

The CBA negotiations for next year are going to be awful.  I don't see any way there's a season in 2022.

actually, wasn't the sale of MLB media in the 2019 period? But you'd figure they'd separate out income from one time gains from operating revenues.

The mlbpa already sold out rookies, minor leaguers, and foreign players. Nowhere to cut but their own ranks this time if the owners press. I think the fights between the owners over the extent of revenue sharing may actually be uglier
