so two golds for Ineos.  Watch Dennis win the ITT.
or, more likely, Ganna

It's been documented that the heavy duty training they endure delays the onset of puberty.  I think Biles being on top at the ripe old age of 24 also essentially refutes that line of thinking about boobs and such limiting what they can do.  I mean kids could still do gymnastics in school.  Just raise the age from 16 to 18 for international competitions.

I think it’s more documented they starve themselves to prevent developing

Reports of Roglic's demise were greatly exaggerated. I would love to see a team time trial when Jumbo fields their best set of TT cyclists, especially with Dennis moving over. 4 of the top 6 places from the Olympics with Dennis, plus Martin

Was watching her round of 16 match this evening against a Chinese nationals athlete. Won the first set. Very interesting to watch. Not sure how they know just how hard to hit it. Behind in the second set and then suffered an injury to her leg and she had to retire. They took her off in a wheelchair in tears. Sad stuff.

Quite a race in the men’s 100 freestyle. That was a great reaction when they linked the winner to his family.

That was awesome! The look on his mama's face was priceless.

The ending of the 800m freestyle was bad ass too.

feel bad for the british chick that stumbled before clearing the first hurdle and was DQ's ending her 2020 olympics.

and the American mixed 4x400m was also disqualified (our girl was in tears because it was her mistake) but they appealed and were granted another shot to qualify

There should be some summer version of biathlon - shooting and running seem to go pretty well together.  And why is falconry not an Olympic sport?  Seems like Brisbane '32 would be a good fit, plenty of mice in Oz.

And there was me thinking that it was only over here that a nation holds it breath as Team GB have an outside chance of 7th place in the Women's Under 40 kg Basketweaving...

So the quarterfinals are underway in men’s field hockey. Germany shutting out Argentina 2-0 going into the last quarter. I will use the excuse that I have had the tv sound down but has taken me a week to realize that you are not allowed to move or stop the ball with your foot or I presume any part of your body.  Or hit the ball with the rounded side of the stick.

EDIT. Other than the goalie that is.

My money is on the Belgians to take the gold.

Didn’t realize that Rui had such a big game against Slovenia. 34 points. Outscored Luca. He plays against Argentina tomorrow at 12:30 am.

I want obstacle swimming https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swimming_at_the_1900_Summer_Olympics_–_Men%27s_200_metre_obstacle_event and underwater swimming  https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swimming_at_the_1900_Summer_Olympics_–_Men%27s_underwater_swimming (of course someone may die going for the gold in that one) to return so badly

Be much more interesting if they had spear fishing simultaneously with swimming
