devastating outcome for American swimmer Torri Huske (from Arlington). She faded in the last two strokes of the 100m fly and went from 1st to 4th. The difference from 1st to 4th was .14  :(

They should adjust their time for our convenience.

Actually, it was unfair of me to say she faded. She was in the water with 3 beasts and all 3 of them passed her at the very end. I was surprised to see her leading for so much of the race. She deserves credit for that performance.

USA softball has no hits before the 7th and trailed Japan 1-0. They string together some singles and tie it. Bases loaded and Japan catches a long fly near the wall. Extra innings again. This wraps up pool play and the same two teams will play for the Gold. Tomorrow I believe.
Edit. My bad. That was the 6th inning. Now in the 7th.

Rui will be in action tomorrow morning at 8. Let’s hope his play is as amazing as his commercials.

USA comes from behind to beat Kenya in rugby with a last minute touchdown. I guess you call it a touchdown. Wild finish.

If you want to feel old, watch skateboarding. It will quickly disabuse you of any notion that you are still young.

Watched the first half. Rui struggled but Japan tied it at 26. However Spain then went on a 19-0 run and led by 20 half. Rui had one nice drive and dunk late in the half. Didn’t watch half two but Japan kept it respectable and Rui picked up the scoring ending with 20. Only two rebounds though. He also looks passive or just confused on defense which is a SoWizards thing. Watanbe who played at GW is their other NBA guy.

The men's MTB race is bonkers. Van der Poel ate crap, to use the technical term.

Aussies putting it to the Aregntines in field hockey.  4-1 after the first.  Might have to watch water polo.
