Bad news. The entire sports-betting industry is a cancer on honest games, which is why MLB has banned gambling since the Black Sox. And why MLB tossed Shoeless Joe Jackson and Pete Rose.
The players make so much money that they have zero incentive to fix games. Even guys making the minimum don't have that incentive. Because if you paid them enough to make it worth it, it would necessitate bets that would be large enough that they would be easily detected.
Shoeless Joe Jackson made $32,000 in his entire career ($430,000 in 2020 dollars). That's less than the league minimum today for one year. It's too much to risk for too little reward for a modern Major League baseball player.
