Tonight's dinner. Pretty good; next time we want to figure out a way to get the potatoes to crisp up a bit more, and Ms1995hoo thinks we should reduce the amount of oil and butter. We used bone-in skin-on chicken thighs instead of whole chicken legs (mainly because that’s what the store had), and we didn’t have slab bacon so I bought a pound of thick-cut bacon, stacked it, and put it in the freezer for half an hour before we cut it up.
Good stuff. The sourdough bread, in particular, had a nice flavor that reminded me of Thanksgiving stuffing, surely due to the rendered chicken fat soaking into the bread cubes. (Also like Thanksgiving, I smell dinner in my shirt.)
