San Marino 0  -   England 10    England thrash San Marino to secure their place in Qatar. Not sure what UEFA is trying to achieve by exposing San Marino to games such as this (ranked 210 out of 210 and with only one victory in 186 games).

Other results - with a shock 2 - 0  win, over previously undefeated Denmark, Scotland have secured a home play-off game. Northern Ireland (who could not qualify) drew 0 - 0 with Italy - a result which sends the Azzurri to the play-offs. Wales play Belgium tomorrow - Belgium have already qualified, and Wales have already secured a play-off spot. If they can hold Belgium to no more than a draw, then it will be a home play-off. The Republic of Ireland defeated Luxembourg 3 - 0, in their final game - they were already out of contention.

So...European qualifiers (so far) - England, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Denmark, Belgium, Serbia, Croatia.

Looks like Dan Marino would have fared better.

From tonight's final round of European Qualifiers...Wales drew 1 - 1 with Belgium to secure a home play-off. Finland lost 0 -2 to France - as Ukraine defeated Bosnia 2 - 0 they leap-frog the Finns into the play-off spot. Finland continue their record of never having qualified for a World Cup. The Netherlands secured their place with a  2 - 0 victory over Norway - Norway miss out as Turkey defeated Montenegro 2 - 1, so Turkey go into the play-offs.

So the Netherlands are added to the list of European qualifying teams.

In the play-offs the seeded (home) teams are Portugal, Italy, Scotland, Russia, Sweden and Wales. The unseeded (away) teams are Turkey, Poland, Ukraine, Austria, Czech Republic and North Macedonia. The draw is at 16:00 GMT on Friday 26th November.

In the European World Cup Qualifying Play-Offs draw, today, Scotland will play Ukraine while Wales host Austria. Games are single-leg 'winner-takes-all'...

6 premier league games cancelled so far this weekend due to Omicron.  I'm going to guess that, if Boxing Day matches are not postponed, then there will be no crowds or limited crowds.  That said, it's kind of a question of whether the teams can put a legit team on the pitch.
