Pleading ignorance here but was there ever a National honored with a day? Jayson Werth? Zim will get one for sure as he has meant so much to the team and the community.
Werth for sure, between games of a DH, maybe even before he retired?   Maybe Pudge, too.

does he get his name up in the Ring of Honor with unforgettable Nats Vlad and Pudge?
it'd be funny if somebody draped a Kendrick banner over Rodriguez.  I think I'll look into the cost of those seats.  It'd be so worth it.

Werth definitely was.  He never should have gone into the Ring before Zimmerman.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2020/12/23/howie-kendrick-october-hero/

Quote
From 2017 to 2019, Kendrick hit .325 with an .888 on-base-plus-slugging percentage and an RBI about every six at-bats — the same per-at-bat production as Astros star José Altuve. But Kendrick became a Nats secret weapon because, after years of playing through injuries, he could only hope for 375 at-bats per season.
But in October 2019, when the Nats played only 17 games in 30 days, he was a middle-of-the-order menace.

Howie could do it. Howie does it? And all the rest. That was a year to put in a museum.

Interesting to me that the acquisition of Howie was driven by the analytical staff, based on his hard hit % and contact rate, per Dougherty and Boz.  Not a typical Rizzo move.

After the 2018 Bryce Harper said one major reason the Nats fell short was losing Howie's leadership in May. In big moments I wanted Howie up there more than any other Nat. He will be missed. Good luck to him.

I have a Howie Kendrick jersey with the World Series champions patch and I will be wearing it to every Nats game for the foreseeable future. I will never forget the incredible run he had in October 2019.

Howie Kendrick should never have to pay for his own drinks when visiting the DC area.
