I have a buddy who's a bit of an amateur historian of the negro leagues, and he's pretty excited by this because he thinks it will make it easier for fans to learn about negro league players who never made it to MLB. He cited a few guys that I had never heard of who put up really amazing statlines in the negro leagues, but we don't know anything about them, as in like we're not sure when they were born, when they died, what they did after baseball, etc. These guys would have been household names if they had been born a few decades later, it's really sad.
