And Oshie out for "personal reasons", so basically it's invasion of the body snatchers

Wake me up when the playoffs start.

I see the Flyers did them a solid tonight.  Not sure where that came from but so be it.

TJ Oshie just tweeted that his father died this morning. Who can forget the two of them on the ice with the Stanley Cup.

Wilson fined $5k but no suspension.  I am a bit surprised although he did drive the first players head into the ground although scrums like that happen all the time. What Panarin did was really dumb after watching the replay. Is it possible Putin ordered Ovie to take Panarin out and he delegated it to the Caps’ hit man?

Polonium tea and Bulgarian goons with umbrella guns are passe, it was going to have to be an on-ice assassination.  Perhaps someone told Wilson that Panarin was into dogfighting.

Wilson out-weighs Panarin by fifty or sixty pounds. It noble of Panarin to jump into Wilson during the brawl, but incredibly stupid. Maybe Panarin is too small to play in the NHL? Corey Millen was a fine player on the 1988 US Olympic team, but he played in the NHL at 5'7" and 170 pounds. Millen's Olympic line-mate, Tony Granato, was able to last 13 seasons at 5'10" and 185 pounds. Maybe that was ok in the 1990s. Panarin weighs 168 pounds, and, at 5'11", he is much thinner than either Millen or Granato.

Theo Fleury was 5'6" and Tie Domi was 5'8" and both were noted pugilists.  Though they were also of a different body type; I think the technical term is "brick craphouse"

Or maybe we should expect NHL players to not be thugs

The only thing that will prevent Panarin from playing again this season is that his team has three games left and failed to qualify for the playoffs.
