I didn’t get to watch much OT.   Why would McAvoy back up when Ovi had no one else with him. Big mistake.

he's still #2 behind Samsonov, right?

I have to wonder after this last week...

My guess is that it's pretty much Vanacek's job at this point.  What a nice conundrum  :D

And meanwhile the #3 (and #4) options are pretty solid too.

maybe a straight up time share for a while.  You would hate to deal one and then find out the one you kept is a one year wonder.  They are much, much older, but Rask and Halak work very well.

This is a Varlamov-Holtby-Neuvirth situation where we just let the two compete and see what happens.

We need to remember that Seattle may come after the one we don't protect...so there is some greater urgency in finding out which one you really want to keep...

It's OK, they got it back and one more.  Halak looks really bad.

Gotta figure Kuzy has the Rona.  With Laviolette dropping Jakub to the 3rd line tonight, and the way this team is playing with all the Bears, gotta wonder where Kuzy fits in once he and Eller are back?

He's been the 2nd line center by default almost since he got here, but not so sure he's earned that in the past 2+ seasons...and he's got some real pressure on him now...maybe for the first time...

3-0 lead.  Those are dangerous in games involving the Caps.  Ha

There's still 11 minutes left in this one.  Just sayin'...

I’ll put this in the Caps thread since it’s the MassMutual division.

Also the Rags are up by a goal late against Pittsburgh.

EDIT. Panarin scores an empty net goal just before time expired.
