In Baseball America's updated rankings, Cavalli is number 27 and House is 93.

Not sure how you can rank a guy that isnt technically in your organization

Love the cavalli ranking.  If he can settle in at AA and have a good fall league could go higher by years end

Assuming a complete teardown in next few days, what do we think is highest ranking Nationals could reach next season? I say #15 at highest. And that would require a lot of guys coming in who don't make roster out of the gate.

A teardown will really accelerate the rebuild, but a long way to go before I'm comfortable.

If you trade Turner, you'd better get into the top 15

Thompson slots in at #13 and barley at #23 on our mob.com list pre-dodgers trade.

Barley has 33 steals in low a ball this year as a 21 year old

I'm starting to get excited about our farm system. Three legitimate starting pitchers, potential all-star catcher and shortstop, and some other nice pieces.

It's interesting that MLB.com had slotted in Aldo Ramirez, Mason Thompson, Riley Adams and Jordy Barley into the Nats Top 30, but they haven't placed Ruiz, Gray or Carillo....

Dodgers trade isn’t technically official yet

The all star SS is Garcia? Right?

Ruiz
Gray
Cavalli
Rutledge
House.

Rutledge is on the fence now. Depends how he does the rest of the year.  House likely needs to have a solid debut to be unanimously included across all publications.

End of season we will have 3 top 50 guys though so that feels good.

We'll see how the final 2 months go. Rutledge was borderline entering the year. The injury and production certainly haven't helped him. I dont think hes in the top 100. A strong close though could make it happen.

House will get a chance to get some AB's, and a chance to prove himself. He might be a guy that's on some lists, but not all.

I would hope Ruiz and Gray play every day at the bug league level, taking them off prospect rankings.

Gray has pitched 8 innings.  Since he's taking over a rotation spot, he would need another 42 innings to lose prospect status, and he'll get 8-10 starts I'd think.  No early shut down because he only has 23 innings at all levels this year.  He should average over 5 innings a start, I'd think / hope.

Call him up to Wilmington when Antuna gets promoted to Harrisburg in a few weeks. Cluff has been a weak hitter.

BA Midseason Top 100 has the following Nats in it:

- 13th overall - Kiebert Ruiz - C
- 24th overall - Cade Cavalli - RHP
- 55th overall - Josiah Gray - RHP
- 87th overall - Brady House - SS

From what I gauge, the Nats, Braves, and Mets have four top 100 prospects. The Marlins have 6. The Philth have 1.

Ruiz and House seem fair. Cavalli seems high, Gray low.

Fangraphs has the following:

Gray - 20th
Ruiz - 41st
Cavalli - 69th

No one else is ranked.

Then MLB has:

Ruiz - 39th
Gray - 40th
Cavalli - 75th
Rutledge - 87th

I personally don't care for Keith Law's rankings, as the rest of these publications use multiple people's ranks and Keith Law is a one man show who comes off many times as arrogant. He also lacks scouting ability and frankly has no more ability than I do to evaluate talent.
