Thanks.  I am a little bummed. I was hoping to stay High-A, but I trust the guys at the big club know what they're doing.
GO FRED NATS!!!

What team do the Phillies have as High-A that they wouldn't want Wilmington which is only a half hour away?

Good question.  Seems they could have made something work.

I found this;

https://www.bizjournals.com/philadelphia/news/2020/11/30/major-minor-league-baseball-trenton-williamsport.html

"The Phillies' minor league lineup now consists of the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Double-A Reading Phillies, and the Single-A Jersey Shore Blue Claws in Lakewood and Clearwater Threshers in Florida."

The Phillies have had an A ball team in Lakewood NJ for a while - they rebranded this offseason as "Jersey Shore" Blueclaws.

That’s the same lineup they have had for years.

Guess I'll have to plan a trip up to find out.  If there is a season this year, I will try to make a road trip and let you know.

Hey I went on a duck tour out of Philly some years ago (Nats trip) and we went out into the schuylkill river so I'm sure the dogs further downstream are fresh and 100% something or other.  :crackup:

Wilmington has great cheese-steaks. My wife grew up there, and a treat, when visiting the in-laws, was the Arden Sub-Shop (now closed) and the Claymont Sub-Shop. Not sure if Claymont is still open, but it was a treat a couple years ago. (Joe Biden lives in Claymont, and the sub-shop had autographed pictures.)
