What a game.  Blowout just like I said.

I don’t know anything about the G league guys who are supposed to go high in the draft but Suggs would be the guy I want on the Wizards. Not because of that shot but because of the defense.  And just overall intensity.

I’ve seen draft projections with Suggs at #2 behind Cunningham but I think that might change a bit after this tournament.

Just an incredible game and finish.

Suggs was exposed a little tonight, besides that prayer.   Jaquez is a nice prospect

I think there winning just enough to ensure that doesn’t happen

Right now they have 6th worst record.  They can do it for sure. And need some lottery luck.

Next years top 25. MD 6 and VT 10.

it's pointless at this point given nobody knows who's staying, turning pro, or transferring. Potentially four of the five Gonzaga starters could turn pro (Suggs, Timme, Ayayi, and Kispert)

A little. I know VT has two guys in the portal probably leaving. They note other players in the projected lineups. They note that MD has two big name transfers coming in. They basically note what you said about Gonzaga but they have one of the top recruits and the favorite to land the top recruit.

the only reason maryland is at 6 is because they think 2 players who are almost certainly transferring out are returning. wiggins is gone and ayala is at best 50/50. morsell just announced he's leaving for good because turgeon freaked him so bad.

I'd like to see the entire Baylor team turn pro and stay together, they could be a .500 team at least in the NBA. :)

He did do a great job, considering the roster situation, a situation that he is entirely responsible for because he simply did not care about doing half his job for two years.

That’s how Ernie Grunfeld kept his job so long. Good trades to cover up for his other mistakes. Turgeon like Ernie seems to be Teflon.

:) = joke

It seems that Baylor kind of quietly went through the tournament without much hype. They put on one of the all-time great performances. Their margins of victory were impressive (averaging 15.2):
Hartford - 26
Wisconsin 13
Villanova - 11
Arkansas - 9
Houston - 19
Gonzaga - 16

And yet they seem to be a team that will be largely forgotten about by next year given the lack of big personalities like Timme or dominant superstars like Suggs. They had four different players lead the team in scoring in tournament games.

This is a good piece on their total dominance of what going into the game, was considered the best team in the country:
https://www.theringer.com/2021/4/6/22369353/baylor-bears-mens-ncaa-champions-scott-drew-march-madness

Quote
The Bears had an incredible shooting performance, hitting at least seven 3s that were listed as contested shots by ESPN Stats and Info. (Gonzaga, meanwhile, hit only five 3s, total.) On the rare occasion that they missed shots, they also rebounded well, getting 16 offensive rebounds while Gonzaga had only 17 defensive boards. The Bears forced more turnovers than Gonzaga, hit more shots than Gonzaga, and blocked more shots than Gonzaga. They played harder than Gonzaga, shot better than Gonzaga, and looked more athletic than Gonzaga. If one team has more heart, more skills, and more talent, what’s left?
