Always nice to see the Dookies lose.  I guess this is what happens when you recruit all these one and done guys and then have a bad recruiting year.  Same for Kentucky.

I figured when Buzz left Hokieville the basketball program would go back to obscurity.  Pleasantly surprised at the job Mike Young is doing.  Didn't think a guy from Wofford could recruit in the ACC.

Two top 10 wins on the road. UMD is inconsistent. But has potential.

No one would trust Turgeon with any real analytics.  ;)

Radford beats Campbell 97-91 in triple overtime tonight.  Somehow, with an all-new starting 5, Radford is in 2nd place in the Big South.

Speaking of Radford, VT loses maybe it’s best player to a DUI (figured his name is Radford) but still beats UVA.

https://www.si.com/college/notredame/basketball/notre-dame-basketball-lands-transfer-paul-atkinson

Atkinson will be playing next year for Notre Dame.  He was Ivy co-player of the year last year.  he decided in early January.  What's interesting to me is that this month, the Ivies allowed seniors who become grad students an extra year of eligibility rather than what has been the practice, which is 4 years only from enrollment even with a missed season if you are enrolled (I guess that is the Whiffenpoof exception).  Atkinson was a major transfer get for get, beating out Miami, NC State, Iowa, and Texas.

His teammate from last year, Jordan Bruner, was starting for Alabama this year up until a 1/12 knee injury.  He's due back soon.

That was a heck of a Yale team last year.

CAA tournament starts tomorrow at JMU. Northeastern is the favorite, JMU is the top seed.

Radford got bounced out of the Big South last night.

Maybe the year W&M finally makes it. But probably not.

George Mason is alive in the A10 after beating GW. They and VCU play games today.

The CAA is kind of a crapshoot because COVID has messed with the schedule so badly that nobody really seems to know how good any of the teams are. Hofstra is the #4 seed and hasn't played in about 2 weeks.

It would be nice to see W&M pull out a win for once, they are one of the original four NCAA teams to have never gone to the tournament.

They had some very good teams back in the 2000s but always choked.

I've been watching the NE and Patriot Leagues.  I am out of touch with college basketball this year.

ACC Tourney update.  UVA and VT both get double byes.

UVA is the number one seen and will play Thursday at Noon versus Syracuse or NC State.  VT as three seed will play the nightcap at 9PM probably versus North Carolina.  Hard to see the Hokies winning a game given that they have only played 2 games in the past month.

I don't see the CAA tournament quarterfinals on any TV?  Looks like the semis and finals are on CBS Sports Network. JMU and W&M both playing.

VCU takes on the number one seeded Bonnies today at 1PM in the A10 final.  It's on CBS.  VCU seems to be on the bubble (Jerry Palm has them last four in) so they should try and win this.

Ok. I will have to pass on that. Seems in the old days the CAA tournament was on NBC Sports Washington and it’s predecessors.
