Westbrook may be the most overrated player in the league. He's a guard who doesn't shoot many 3s and isn't particularly efficient with the shots he does take.
He’s a sure fire HOF player. His game has slipped though. He does dish out assist and get rebounds.

I don't necessarily want my point guard getting rebounds. He was great, he's not now

Those are empty stats he chases, and bad coaches and teammates let him have.   He’s the most selfish player I can remember

He just had 25 assists in a game and is near leading the league in that category. Is he being selfish by passing the ball?

when he was in triple double mode chasing an MVP, he was passing up good shots to get the 10th assist a lot of games. He's a different player now, but people have memories. This year, he's getting assists and counting stats, but he's just not good anymore. The advanced stats hate him, he sucks in winshares and his plus/minus is atrocious. He makes a bad wizards team a little more entertaining, so that's good, but that's about it

He did win that MVP. He is also incredibly intense on the court although that does not always carry over to defense. So that is fun to watch.  He was never a good jump shooter but now he cant get to the rim as well. Career wise he has averaged less than one assist less than John Wall who supposedly is a facilitator.  He also averages about ten rebounds a game which is needed on a team whose frontcourt sucks.

if your point guard is averaging 10 rebounds a game, you are either tanking or your coach sucks

or you've got a forward at point guard. :)

He's averaged that basically the last five seasons.  Including some good teams.

Those good teams all ended up being good regular season teams. I don’t think you can go far with a ball dominant point guard who can’t shoot 3s. He’s making this season watchable (and screwing lottery odds), but it’s not like this is building towards anything

My on line betting site has free weekly contests for the major sports.  I went 12-2 this past week and the only two games I missed were the Wizards.  Monday they beat Indy when I picked the Pacers.  Then Charlotte beat the Wiz when I picked Washington.  Usually 12-2 gets a piece of the weekly jackpot but someone this week got all 14 games right and won $5000.  So the Wizards screwed me again.

This team can't even tank properly.

Somehow the Wiz Kids are only one game out of the final play in spot.  The Bulls have gone downhill since making trades to upgrade their roster.

Wizards essentially tied with Toronto and Chicago for the final play in spot.  Toronto a couple percentage points ahead as they have played two more games.

Curry is on a tear and closing in on Beal for the scoring title.

Lackluster effort against a G league roster. But we will take it. Keep pace with the Bulls and half a game ahead of the Tampa Raptors. Also Indy is in a free fall and will lose and the Wiz will be only two games back of them.

Steph Curry is on an amazing roll. Everyone at Capitol One Wednesday will be rocking their Curry jerseys. Susan O’Malley would be proud.

I wouldn’t say it was lackluster. Westbrook had a bad game but bertans was on fire and Beal played well.

OKC has now lost 11 in a row and has some players out. At one point they cut the Wizards lead to 2 points in the 4th quarter. I didn’t recognize any of their starters. Wednesday will not be easy.
