Will be Manfred's last big project before he leaves

He's 66. The litigation against the yankees and Red Sox when you tell them they have to give up YES and NESN or the Dodgers when you tell them they're losing their deal will last longer than he has left

MLB is taking over the Reds' broadcasts after Cincy couldn't reach an agreement with Diamond. That is now the 7th team that will have its broadcasts handled by MLB.

The Yankees, Dodgers, Phillies and others sign these long term player contracts with the idea they're going to have the big money TV deals during the duration of the player deals.

I don't think MLB will ever have the type of TV situation like what the NFL has that allows teams like Green Bay to play on a level playing field with the New York Teams and every other NFL team.

True, but with the MLB taking over and paying a pittance, we’re going to get to the point where it’s unsustainable.
