Tell me where to split this into a 2021 season thread.

Also, non-Caps, but this is interesting:

Quote
Friedman made it clear it’s “a long shot” they’ll actually regularly play outdoors, but he said “it is being explored.” The Bruins are reportedly one of six teams looking into the idea, along with the Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Dallas Stars, and Nashville Predators, according to The Athletic‘s Pierre LeBrun.

The quality of play in the outdoor games has been poor. The ice just doesn’t hold up.

Consistent outdoor hockey in Southern California per the article would be something

There is already a NHL 2020-21 thread here. So seems time for a Caps 20-21 thread.

Here is some info on potential division alignments for the season.

https://nhl.nbcsports.com/2020/12/09/nhl-rumor-roundup-2020-21-season-latest-division-alignment-proposal/

for competitive balance, do you swap Washington, Pittsburgh, and Philly for Detroit, Chicago, and Minnesota?

No. It’s just for one year and to minimize travel.

Oskar is cancer free. Well done young man. And thanks to all the health care workers who helped him get that way.

More details.

https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-nhlpa-season-start-agreement/c-319839598

You only play teams in your own division during the regular season. And then your in each division make the playoffs. Then those four play each other in the playoffs until one survives. So you never play another division until the final four.  Almost like MLB used to be.

NHL going to Lake Tahoe.

https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/nhl-planning-two-outdoor-games-lake-tahoe-2021-season/
I wanted to see if it would be on Lake Tahoe, but it looks like its going to be on a golf course.  Just as long as they don't make a side trip for a game at the Donner Pass, I think it'll be fun.

The Flyers should pay for the USC marching band to play during the game just to dis the Bruins.

USC hates the Bruins.

The NHL has sold the naming rights for the divisions for the upcoming season, per the Athletic.

I'm OK with Mass Mutual having the rights to our Division...as long Pittsburgh Paint & Glass didn't get it.  Interesting that Honda has the West inasmuch as they already have naming rights to the Ducks Arena...

Wow, that's really sad.
