Why wouldn't they bring back Cora? The whole cheating thing has cooled off and he's done his penance.

Bloom may have his eye on someone out of the Tampa Bay chain.  Let's see how much heat comes out of the Astros playoff run.  Feels like they are the villains out there, so I'm not sure folks will be satisfied that Cora has done his penance.  I would be surprised if he and Beltran  get managerial offers in the next 3 years.  Cora could possibly move into a front office and then go down on the field as an interim manager.  Heck, you could see Rizzo hiring him as a special assistant since he's a former Nat.

White Sox fire Rick Renteria, just as the Cubs did at a similar stage of their rebuild. Which rebuilding team will hire him next?

They also fire long-time pitching coach Don Cooper.

Cora, Hinch rumors abound but the internet says Hinch to Detroit and Cora back to Boston.

AJ Pierzynski would be the likely cheap, in-house option. He's some kind of advisor to the team or similar.

Wait, so they develop the pitchers that we couldn't and their pitching coach gets fired?

Yankees decline Brett Gardner’s option. Last yankee to play at the old stadium.

I’m sure he can’t wait to get back with Rizzo.

MLB owners approve the sale of the Mets to Steve Cohen.  If his first decision to immediately rescind the pay cut imposed on the stadium staff due to the virus is an indication on his willingness to spend on free agents then things could get interesting this winter.

I read somewhere that DeBlasio May try and block it based on legal issues Cohen has with the SEC. And he prefers JLo’s butt.

I saw that as well this past week but now that the owners have approved Cohen I don't know what DeBlasio can do at this point. Might be a case for Angelos.

Looks like he has signed off on it.  Let the free agent bidding begin.

I always felt like NYC took notes from Chicago on how to do corruption and public graft at the city govt level. Maybe I'm wrong and they don't. But it feels like MLB could say 'well, he's the guy who gets to buy,' and DeBlasio says, 'Cool. Get a new business license. And food license. And liquor license. Or go pound sand.'
