I wonder if we end up bringing back Doolittle for another year.  He was effective last season when not pitching every day and twice on Saturdays.

Red Sox sign a 2 year deal, $14MM, for Enrique "I'll be damned if I spell out his nickname without an accent" Hernandez and a $10MM, 1 year deal with a $10MM option for Garrett Richards.

Plus Franklin German.  No mention of what the Sox are sending.

EDIT : MLB.com reports it is PTBNL or cash.

JT back to Philly

every time the Phillies spend money not on pitching, I am pretty happy.

as noted in the Clubhouse thread, La Stella to the Giants.

At this point, with Realmuto, LeMahieu, Semien, and Springer off the table, Ozuna I think is the biggest remaining position player out there.  Lots of pitchers still available after Bauer.

And the fire sale has begun.
More like they're clearing out space for Bauer

Clearing space for Trevor Bauer most likely.

Matz last four seasons: 4.83 ERA, 4.92 FIP, 1.363 WHIP, .  That the Mets got anything of value for him is astounding (though Winckowski is the best prospect coming back to NY and he only rates as Toronto's 27th prospect.)

They know Bryant is leaving at his first opportunity.

One year, 7 million

Gonna be honest, I would have rathered the Nats sign Pederson at 7 million rather than Schwarber at 10.
