Oh well. Just a 7-RBI game (so far  ;) ). I was actually kind of hoping for a triple to break the tie with Trevor Story and Mike Yastrzemski, which would also have moved him ahead of Blackmon and Dominic Smith in RBI.

MAT batting .200 will probably be the last game as a NAT.  Fans love him, but he does not produce.

Not me. I’ve wanted him gone for years.

I see that midget Altuve is hitting .216 compared to lifetime .311. Gee I wonder what has changed?
The most inexplicable drop-off to me is Christian Yelich, who is hitting .202.  J.D. Martinez's .214 is also a big drop-off from 4 consecutive .300+ seasons.

The book of Hebrews covers that

How apropos that the Jewish section of the Bible would cover that.  :hurr:

Shohei Otani's .188/.292/.369 line must also be really disappointing to Angels fans, especially adding in no or negative pitching value this season as well (1 2/3 innings, 7 ER in 2 starts).

They didn’t have the internet back then so it doesn’t count.

BTW, with Yom Kippur coming up, I forgive you for all your transgressions against me.  :rites:
killed a half pound (dry) of spaghetti in butter sauce for my pre-fast meal.

Thanks.

Those four - Altuve, Yelich, J.D. Martinez and Ohtani - have the biggest drop-offs in production this season among big-name players whom I have noticed. Any others come to mind?

They needed him in the playoffs last year when Robles was injured.

The top Astros BA is .300. Next is .269. Last year they led in BA, this year 10th, with a drop of 34 points.
Gee I wonder what has changed?

There was an interview with Zim not too long ago on Nats Extra and he plans to play next year barring anything with COVID preventing him from doing so.
