This already was our best and deepest bullpen on paper heading into a season in a long time. Jeffress is just even more depth if he pans out, and nothing is lost if he doesn't. Bullpen guys are very volatile statistically year to year, in large part due to a much smaller amount of innings compared to starters and less opportunities for stats to normalize. You often see scrap-heap guys have great years as well as higher-priced guys struggle. That's why depth is important. The more guys you stack up with a reasonable chance to be effective, the better. We should be able to have at least 3 or 4 quality guys healthy at all times, and best case even more.
