I did some simple arithmetic.  Today is not a must win.

Austin Voth is my choice for Game 3 starter for the 3-game play-in series.

Nah, not with an ERA threatening to slip under 7.50.

1 run and 2 hits after 3 innings ain’t bad.

He's often ok-ish at the beginning - 5.48 through the first 3 all year.  ERA of 13.97 this year after that though.

Robles eased off the throttle and misplayed that.

Maybe I should chew some tobacco and say "dur dur boy ain't got enough stuff t'get through a lineup twice, looks like a feckin' reliever" but providing actual evidence of the eyeball test helps.

I mean, has anything DCFan said on this forum indicate that he values any type of empiric data?

With Voth and with MAT, you throw the stats out the window in October. :)

Pretty good job to give up 2 doubles and a triple in 5 innings but only 1 run.

88 pitches and bottom of the order coming, maybe not.  But the dude's 0-5.  You gotta get him out with a lead and a chance at a win.
