As I noted yesterday, the Reds were 15th of 15 teams in batting average this season, so their offense never showed up. The only real question was whether they could do something against the Braves' mediocre pitching.

He's a character. I was in the building for his first major league hit, which was a walkoff off the wall. The Coliseum not being the loudest place, you could hear the celebration post-roar pretty clearly. NSFW, mix of languages, but NSFW.

I tuned out the game early, partly because of the quick Cards lead, but mainly because Sutcliffe just wouldn't ever shut up. I guess I missed a hell of a comeback by Fernando and Manny and Wil.
