The ball Gomes hit in the tenth would have been through the pulled in infield had Taylor bunted successfully. More chance of balls getting through the infield that way.

They practice bunting everyday in BP. They have been doing it since they were 12. No excuse for MAT or Kieboom not getting down a simple bunt to move the runner to 3B where either a sac fly or a base hit wins the game. SMH.

Batting practice is not the same as having a guy throwing 90. Need to work on it in exhibition season. Or just forget it.
