I honestly don't know if there's an etiquette I am stepping all over. I usually wait until the last minute, to see if someone else has posted a thread, but sometimes I think the thread should be started earlier. This can serve as a reminder of game time for people visiting the forum, especially since this season has had some unconventional start times. So, I've started a few well before first pitch, and I don't know if I've sniped anyone else.

There is a GDT that's stickied in The Clubhouse where people can say which GDT's they want to start but if no one has signed up then it's open for anyone to start up.

Etiquette is for Europeans. You took charge. Good for you. :)

I usually live for about two months a year in Europe, although this year has been a bust.

Highlights of the pre-game show include Suzuki's health, Soto's return to the line-up, Brock Holt's renewed hitting, and Bo Porter's inability to pronounce Aníbal. Though, to be fair, Dan Kolko seems to over-pronounce it.

Speaking of Aníbal, as a matter of trivia, do the Nationals have more players named after Carthaginian generals than any other team?

Sen. Byrd would know as he often referenced this era in his floor speeches and filibusters.

With Aníbal and Asdrúbal in the game, the motto of the Rays' pregame meeting was presumably "Carthago delenda est".

I believe the traditional translation is "asses must be kicked!"

Nobody better I'd love to see coming to bat with the bases loaded than Cabrera.  ;)
