Huge to get out of the first inning unscathed. Corbin not hitting his spots but good action on his pitches.

Don't really like Soto batting 2nd -- keeps Turner from stealing.

The bigger problem is that after the top 2 hitters, it's another 7 hitters before there's any hope

Corbin isn’t too sharp tonight.

Bryce, way to go all out and force a throw to first by running.

He has almost as many balls as strikes. But it’s scoreless.

Most of the time, bumpy roads lead to lousy places that are dead ends and you break an axle backing up.

TBH, that sounds like a pretty good evening.  I'd like to take a night off from 2020 with some ludes.

I love these kind of games.  I find them much more compelling than slugfests.

MAT should have been told to at least drag out that AB a bit.   A 10 pitch AB with the top of the order coming up could have made a difference.

If MAT had sufficient bat control and plate discipline to grind out 10 pitch ABs, he might have a career OBP above .300.
