You also would have seen character and mental toughness beyond what’s needed in non-COVID years.

For my part, I like many others are talking about a comparative view of this year versus others as far as the tradition of the national pastime and other major sports. I haven’t harped on casting what’s occurred as completely devoid of meaning for players or those choosing to watch.

However, there should be no issue with some contextualization of events concerning rule changes and circumstances — especially when the metrics and traditional pressure elements are massively altered as a result in certain aspects. That includes how many people are going to be prone to not find such situations compelling, for example, just because the “World Series” is on. As far as inspirational stories, watching some of the Paralympics a couple of months back worked well in that vein and was in abundance.
