My real estate attorney in Florida was a Katz...a big Katz at that.  That was 30+ years ago...he's likely in the big litter box in the sky by now...

Gave them a good tussle but as I told you the pros would prevail.

They need to move back to the Termite Palace in Moʻiliʻili (I'm sure it has been developed by now...pretty expensive real estate).  I saw the 1973 Hula Bowl there.

Aloha Stadium is/was quite a facility...on casters...they would move the stands for baseball configuration.  The MiLB Islanders played there until 1987...a bit after we left Oahu in 1985...
I’ve been to a couple of Islanders games.

From what I read the only stadium that meets NCAA division one standard (20000 seats) is in Maui. So I’m not sure what they will do. Apparently there is a new stadium in the works but that won’t open until at least 2023.

Helluva lot easier to play in Wailuku, Maui than the mainland...

Was funny...HS Football always seemed to outdraw NCAA or NFL games anyway...

Never went to a UH football game. I think volleyball was the big draw.

We Catholics got a guy in the White House this year but no team in the college football playoff.

Not so sure about that.

Alabama is clearly the #1 team in the country, Clemson is clearly #2, I guess you can pencil in OSU as #3. Beyond that the committee has flexibility. If they were just ranking the 4 best teams in the country, I could see a strong argument for TAMU at #4. But they're not just doing that, they're also creating a product for TV viewers. Whoever they pick at #4 has to play Alabama, and TAMU already played Alabama this year and it wasn't a close or interesting game. Do TV viewers really want to see Alabama/TAMU again?

Bama/ND is probably a blowout, but TV viewers would probably prefer it to any of the alternatives.

Has ND made the playoff since it was set up?

You were right.  Seems a farce they got in.  But if it makes Jimbo Fischer mad I guess that's OK.

Yea, 2018.  Lost 30-3 to Clemson.

Army, with 9 wins, is supposed to get a bid to the independence bowl but won’t due to “contractual obligations” the NCAA has with other schools.

Someone should start a tweet campaign asking the NCAA why they hate America

It's an outrage it really is. It was like deja vu all over again watching them "play" yesterday-they have NEVER not gagged in a championship game for at least the last 10 years, I cannot believe we are going to be subjected to another snoozefest playoff game because whoever things Notre Dame and their scumbag coach somehow deservers to be there :smh:

Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Oklahoma have combined to take 20 out of 28 possible spots since the playoff began in 2014.

If Clemson and Alabama end up meeting in the national championship, it would be their fifth playoff meeting in the past six years.

yeah, this isn't going to end well for the NCAA.  But there's an opportunity for a school to give up a bowl game for the positive publicity (not to mention, because it's the right thing to do).

I don't understand the need to review plays after the correct call is clearly made on the field.

So that moronic blowhards like Mike Golic can bloviate and earn a bloated paycheck.

Hey. Watch it. You are talking about a member of one of the greatest defensive lines of all time. Well he was the weak link. And he got his son who seems even less talented a job at ESPN. So there’s that.

I bet Miami to win. Didn’t see the game. Now I’m upset. Between that result and the Wizards a bad day. When does hockey start?
