It might be scorer's choice since Max didn't go 5, but he got it, Finnegan the hold, and Hudson the save

This is why the pitcher win is so dumb. You can’t possible get the win if you don’t go 5.  Even if you’ve 14 batters in order and are up 10-0. The scorer gets to pick.
So Finnegan gets the W.

I was wondering if they might apply a different standard to a scheduled 7-inning game than that the starter needs to go a full five to qualify.

a quirk of advanced stats.  Finnegan and Hudson had negative FIP today. That's subzero.  I suppose 1K for Finnegan to one guy, and 2ks and a pop for Hudson, explains that.

Bullpen is good so far this year.  We just need the bats to come alive and for Balls to start pitching like we know he could.
