MLB Network had a nice little gush sesh calling Robles a "top step" defender or something like that and then cut to the Soto double and called him "maybe the best young hitter Rin baseball". freak that. Trout is a better player, tatis MIGHT be as well. But I'll take soto at the plate over anybody
If Soto strikes out his last AB today, he should still have a 1.20 qualified OPS using Baseball reference method of tacking on an 0 for 10 to get him up to qualified PA.
That's good for the qualified OPS lead over every mlb player who got to have those 10 plate appearances. Not nearly enough history to call him the best hitter, but he's starting to make a case.
