My dad did 20 there in the puzzle palace. He took me to lunch at the O Club one week day. Downstairs they had pole dancers (Pasties and g strings) whilst everyone munched their burgers. Made for a nice lunch.

When I first went to the O Club at Fort Benning, one of the senior officers told us they had dancers there too until the late 1980s.

Our excursions would’ve been late 70’s. I always marveled at the countless numbers of barracks from WWII that were all over the place.

Barracks at Ft. Jackson in the '70's were from WWI...with wood or coal fired heat systems that were only attended during the heat of the day...not at night.  Typical SNAFU...

Around Potsdam, they've converted a lot of the old Prussian Guard Kasernen into fairly nice condos and apartments. Yet in other parts of the former East Germany you can still find unrepaired bomb-damaged buildings from WWII.

Those Quonset huts were all over West Palm Beach when I was a kid, especially around PBIA, which was an Army Airfield in the 1940s.
