Garcia seems ready defensively. In any event 1B seems like the big hole offensively.  Especially with light hitters at 3B, RF and C.
Oh he's definitely ready defensively. If it were an honest competition, he'd be at shortstop. He's a very slick defender. Reminds me a lot of Jose Iglesias, both in the field and at the plate.

No first base option at all. Zim is retired. Howie gets hurt too much. Raudy Reed? Drew Mendoza?

Eaton has a 10 million dollar option, so that's probably gone. I guess it really depends on how much stock you put in this season. But that 10 million could be put towards a more productive player.

Suzuki is probably gone as well. Well, maybe they can use him as a platoon first baseman. But five million is a lot when Israel Pineda can do the same job at a fraction of the cost.
