Finally, someone rejoices at having to spend time in Buffalo instead of Toronto.

Dusty said this is fake news...it's a forearm injury...conceded that he's out for a few weeks...

Would a 37 yo like him even go through Tommy John at this stage of life?   This seems like it could be the end of him as an ace.

Astro's rotation is a shell of itself now, and now has 36 yo  Grienke as the ace.   They're not anything special anymore as a team.

Probably, but it would be for quality of life.

Them again, I could see him doing it and rehabbing just to prove the haters. He doesnt need to throw 95+ to be effective. His slider, curve, and change would be good enough to keep him as an effective pitcher for a while.

is Urquidy being held out? They have McCullers back, so he's a heck of a #3 now #2.

I mean, Grienke is an ace. And they still have a great lineup. Still very capable of winning the division and making a deep postseason run.

Verlander also may not be out for the whole season.

Verlander now denies he’s out for season. Will re-evaluate in a few weeks.

Damn braves are putting on a clinic tonight.  Riley was the only player in the lineup without a hit.  Just jacked a dong 458' to go up 12-1.

And Snitker pulled his starter with one out in the 4th up 9-1.  Yeah, he was struggling, but let him eat some innings at that point...

Surgery and then a year of rehab- I don’t see him coming back at that age whether or not he wants to

Snitker said that they are gonna be careful with their pitching approach, because of a short season. I read where they are gonna use two pitchers before their bullpen take over (third and fourth spots), why Jhoulys Chacín comes in for 3 and half innings. (Surprised that Jhoulys Chacín is with the Braves. Didn't know that until now).

Did anyone see the HR Ohtani just hit?  Looked like he moved both his feet backwards as the ball came to get a better swing at a low and inside pitch.

So despite the new extra innings rule the Dodgers and Astros are now in inning 13.

that's what you get when you suspend Kelly so he can't give up a meatball.

SD @ SF:  Finest catch I've seen this year just now by Grisham.  What should've cleared loaded bases and tied the game resulted in a sac.  I'm liking this Padre squad to be contenders.

Dodgers up 3-1 heading into the Bot 8.  Enter Blake Treinen.  Dodgers now down 5-3.
