Didn’t realize that the Jays had overtaken the Yanks for second place.
Yanks just lost 3 of 4 to the Orioles. Got a lot of injuries again.

Yankees gave up a stolen base to Vlad Guerrero, Jr who is NOT built anything like his tall, lanky father. They are reeling. Still, with Cole they are set up nicely for the first round of the playoffs.

Current postseason standings.  BLOS only a half game behind the Yanks for the final spot in the AL.

Looked it up and their team ERA is about a half a run better than the Nats. Now that is sad.

25-9 now.  The pitching line for Yamamoto is something.  2.2 IP, 11H, 12ER

29-9 after 7.  Chances of getting 30 are diminished mostly because they're at home.

Now would be a great time to swing at 3-0 pitches :)

Did anyone else with MLB.tv tune into the A's or Giants game just to see what baseball looks like under an orange sky?

That's alright. They still lost their series to the Marlins.

I watched some of both.  Oakland was more striking because the game started earlier.

and the brewers won 19-0.

wondering if this is the highest run total between two games in mlb history (maybe also total run differential in two games)

Atlanta did all of that against real pitchers too: the Marlins never sent a position player to the mound. The Brewers, on the other hand, got 4 of their 19 runs off an outfielder. Though he did retire both Yelich and Braun.

I believe this is subject to unwritten rules review by Brian McCann

Yamamoto hasn't had a beating like that since Midway.

really should be.  up by 10 and the losing team has made 18 outs should be enough to call it.

Needs to be at least 21 outs so that it can coincide with cutting off beer sales...
