Video embedding?

Am I missing some coding thing? I can’t seem to embed videos, although I think I’ve done it in the past.


I tried linking to both Imgur and YouTube, but all that returns is a clickable link, not a embedded video with a visible starting image.

So I actually see youtube, but it says the video is private
