While I took it'll run its course, my choice was between that and shutdown before the season starts (training camp). What I honestly don't see as happening is everyone being clean and taking care of themselves early and then having major outbreaks on teams after that.  I think Hudson said it right.  Basically, its home and park for him and I'm sure home means food delivered and house confinement, more or less, for the family.

I think at least one clubhouse has an outbreak, probably multiple, whether or not that shuts down the season, who knows

I'm going within the first week.  I think they try to press on despite a growing number of cases during training camp, but the crap hits the fan once teams go on the road...

wait, your saying that some team might flinch at a road trip to Arlington and Houston?  The d-backs might call that relief.

I'd hate to be on a team that drew Tampa Bay or Miami in week 1...

Also gotta think Toronto will be quick to pull the plug on travel once the positives start showing up...

I’m gonna say full course. Too much money to pull the plug. They have 60 man rosters for a reason.  They should just send all the teams north of the Mason Dixon line.

Isn’t there a travel ban to Canada right now?

They said they would grant an exemption for the NHL. Of course that would be travel to a bubble city. And it’s hockey.

Toronto is apparently considering playing in Buffalo, their AAA location.

coupled with a 3-5 week vote, I'm feeling confident. It seems like they're determined to plow ahead. Maybe the next team to go down will end it

There it is...

Miami Marlins temporarily postpone season for COVID-19 testing

They might finish the season at 2-1 and make the playoffs.

I thought the purpose of alt site 30 player pool was to play on if this happens.  Why is that not happening?  Does this mean we now have a 50 game season?

alt players was to replace minor leagues. 40 man rules still apply

article actually discusses this.  Manfred says once the diagnoses are done there may be players called up from the 60 man pool, provided it doesn't impact competitiveness.  I guess you can add guys not from the 40 man if they replace the covid list players.   Since it is the Marlins, I think they may look to slow-pitch softball and little league without impacting competitiveness.
