It's a shame this virus hasn't been taken seriously...all this clamoring for sports to start up is sheer folly...
What will I bet on then?

It’s no surprise it’s spreading throughout the sun belt after restaurants and such were opened and people has large gatherings.

Novan Djokovic becomes the 4th player to test positive at a tournament he organized in Croatia and Serbia.

Funny thing isn’t he the one who said he would not do mandatory testing when tennis resumes?  Probably he is juicing and doesn’t want to get caught.

NHL Announces 26 Players Have Tested Positive For COVID-19

Undoubtedly some false negatives also and they might spread to teammates as they resume workouts.  Are they ever going to finalize the bubble cities?

Watching Rugby 7's from South Africa...not sure if it is current or what.  May as well turn the volume off because I can only understand every 3rd or 4th word the announcers are saying.

May as well turn it off entirely because I can't understand the game itself either...

Edmonton and Toronto the leading cities right now for the NHL.  One compelling reason discussed for 2 Canadian cities, beyond the US Covid-19 situation, is the currency exchange rate...the CAD is presently at .72 USD.  That's a yuge savings...

Really hope nobody gets sick with any of this...this whole restart thing is nothing but scary...

NASCAR's 7 time Champion Jimmie Johnson has the RONA...will miss his first races since he got to the Cup Series.

They seemed to be doing a really good job taking precautions.  This does not bode well for other sports...

The women are playing their tournament (sans Orlando) seemingly without issue (other than the crappy production value)

The ladies have always been much better about following rules.

Formula 1 is ready also. Imagine trying to get 4000 negative tests in the USA now.

Hot Dog Eating contest goes off without a hitch. Joey Chestnut and Miki Sodo break their world records. After watching some highlights I lost my appetite.  Luckily I got it back in time for some grilled steaks.

Not a good sign.

Not just for soccer but for the NFL as well. That makes two teams pulling out of pro soccer tournaments (FC Dallas from MLS, Orlando Pride from NWSL), both because of a high number of COVID cases - how can the NFL play on when it has much less distancing and more contact/collision than soccer?

Concussion induced long term trauma never bothered the league. I'm sure they'll just tell them that if they hit the other guy hard enough, they'll crush the virus and be totally safe.

talking about 7 games in league for football in the spring. Since a lot of the lax guys play a fall sport, it will be intersting to see who plays what. I also wonder about the start of winter sports.

Don't think there will be any sports this year in the Ivy--they will make safe choices.

Wut?  Well.  All except for Amaker's basketball players at Harvard.

And any former Presidents that played Ivy baseball.
