A natural reaction.

When my alma mater (the University of Miami) won the Nat'l Champiobnship in football against highly favored Nebraska in Jan '84, I actually thought, "Now I can die in peace ... " Even though Miami won 4 more NCs, three in relatively quick succession, the first one (the most unlikely and unexpected) was always the sweetest. And, you do feel for several years after that you're playing with "house money."

I think VaRK has been in touch.  I think it came up in a GDT early on.  Just not posting but he's OK, I think.

mitlen is fine.  I think it was Skippy that reported some time back that Spidey is fine.  I think we're all concerned about PB...

Minty would be another who hasn't checked in.  Linty posted a few times this summer.  I think MathGuy keeps up with BiL.  JMad I think checked in, too, and Welch said he keeps up with Cal.  MDS is trying to avoid the collectors after taking DJT and 2% in Minnesota.
