some guys we could be looking at with pick #22:

Robert Hassell - high school outfielder, top of the class prep hit tool, vandy commit

Cole Wilcox - seen him mocked to us a lot, we took a late round flyer on him a few years back, high upside college arm late in the first sounds like a Rizzo play

Cade Cavalli - mid 90s with a power arsenal, iffy command (improved drastically in limited 2020 action), inability to dominate in college, Ace upside

I dont see Hassell signing. At least not for a ton of money. Vandy churns out top level talent. He could conceivably jump up 15+ picks after college. And considering that this season and next season are tenuous at best, he would be better suited to going to Vanderbilt, working out, getting ahead on classes, and having a far more relaxed life than a minor league wondering if hes going to get a stipend next month.

I could see Wilcox being the pick, simply because he's a Boras guy

My pipe dream would be Casey Martin falling to us in the second round. Worst case scenario, he is Trea Turner's replacement. Best case, he comes up in 2021 and takes over second/third, and we end up with a lineup that has Trea Turner, Victor Robles, and Casey Martin all trying to steal 30+ bases.

Every high school player who has a chance to play for Tim Corbin at Vandy should take it. That guy is one of the best coaches of any sport in this country IMO.
