ESPN notes:

Excellent coaching job by Bruce Arians. One of the most likeable dudes in pro sports - he deserved this without a doubt.

Anyone remember when super bowl blowouts were the norm?

Pretty much the norm back in the 1980's.

ESPN notes:

funny because Brady's O-line in NE was supposed to be part of his success.  Keep him from getting hit.  I think it helped that he also had a great game from Fournette.

phenomenal job not just by Arians, but also by his coordinators and whoever built the team. Not only did they add Brady, but guys like Gronk, Brown, and Fournette were all huge contributors to their win.

I really thought the game would be more competitive, but KC's offensive line never gave them a chance to do anything.

Reid’s game plan, if there even was one, was garbage

True, but the TD defense was pretty good on this run.  They beat Brees, Brady, and Mahomes (and Heniecke of course), that's an impressive run, all on the road.

The chief’s offense was great all year and rolled, including over Tampa, this year. This is playoff Andy

Playoff Andy is 6-2 in the last 3 years, losing only to Brady-led teams.  I don't think there was much they could have done given the line mis-match.

I saw earlier that the team that had the most offensive success against Tampa in the playoffs this year was...you guessed it...the WFT.

you can say the same thing about the Chiefs offense against every defense they've faced in the playoffs in the last two seasons

They lost their best offensive lineman for this game. It showed.

I saw an infographic this morning saying that Mahomes ran for nearly 500 yards before sacks/passes, i.e. he ran nearly 500 yards avoiding the TB defense. They are an important part of this story for sure.

There was simply no adjustment by Reid to Hill getting double covered all night. Or maybe Malhomes. The point is the Bucs flat out took Hill out of the game and dared the Chiefs to beat them with something else. And they didn't.

On the opening drive of the 2nd half Romo pointed out that they did make an adjustment by sending Hill on longer routes to open up the middle for Kelce and others (Kelce caught two passes on the drive). That was the drive that ended with a FG to make is 21-9 and keep the Chiefs in the game.  Then the Bucs came back with a TD and intercepted Mahomes on the ensuing drive, pretty much ending the game.

Yep.  Almost wondering if this could be the start of Todd Bowles getting himself another shot at a HC gig in the NFL.  Heaven knows the Jets' organization has proven to be a complete disaster--front offices could see that and give him a pass for his time there.

ooh, great! PLL is a fun thing to watch when it is up on a bar tv on a summer night even if you don't know lacrosse well and the teams don't identify by geography.
