The Le'Veon Bell contract seems to be the Jets' "hold my beer" response to Bobby Bonilla.  They paid him $28 million for 17 games of piss-poor production, and they take a $4 million cap hit on him next year as well.  Oddly, the Jets may stumble their way into Trevor Lawrence.

the most Jets outcome possible will be winning 1 game and losing him to the Giants (bonus points if its the last game and Adam Gase gives an interview praising his team's determination with audible fan booing in the background)

:hysterical:

I'd be shocked if Gase makes it through another week, but you are right, the Jets going on a 1 or 2 game win streak to cost them Lawrence would be icing on the cake. Then again the Giants could pass on Lawrence because they believe in Jones. :)

I’m probably in the minority but not that impressed with Lawrence. Darnold is not the main problem with the Jets. It’s everything else.

The Cowboys have elevated former JMU starting QB Ben DiNucci to the backup slot and have signed another QB to be behind him. DiNucci was a 7th round draft pick this past year and is getting reps this week with both the #1 and #2 offenses.

FIFY.

Maybe wife Julie could fill in. She is a good athlete. They lost running back Miles Sanders also for a few weeks. Most of the offensive line is gone. The other TE is out. Several receivers out. Probably easier to just list who is healthy.

I want to see a 10-loss team win the NFC East. This is the year.

Let's go Cardinals.

DiNucci gets in at the end for a few meaningless handoffs.  He's the first JMU QB to play in the NFL (one other was drafted but never made it off the practice squad).

I'm not worried about New York or Washington winning more than 6 games. The Eagles are a bit of a concern, but the Eagles have a relatively tough schedule moving forward.

The Cowboys, the Cowboys worry me. Even without Dak, they have mostly a cupcake schedule. I'm not sure I see six more losses for them. They have two tough games against the Steelers and the the Ravens. The 49ers I guess are kinda good? That's three losses. The remaining 3 will need to come from their division mates.

Don’t forget only 2 of those are outside the division.

The Eagles have the next three weeks to get well. Giants twice and Cowboys. If they don’t win those three their prospects are bleak. They have actually played well the last two weeks against good teams but players keep dropping like flies.

The Cowboys offense actually looked a bit better as the game went on last night.  Dalton did make a couple of poor throws that resulted in INTs but he had a dropped TD pass to Gallup, and he was running for his life most of the night.  Elliot losing two fumbles hurt as well. Their offensive line was clearly overmatched, as was their defensive line (Murray only completed 8 passes because Arizona ran for around 260 yards.)

It is incredible how bad this division is right now.
