The silence on DJax is deafening.  Especially compared to what happened on Drew Brees.  Double standard for sure. 

Lurie has a history of forgiving players.  He gave Vick a second chance.  He also did not cut Riley Cooper when he was caught using the N word on tape. But he should have. I would just cut DJax and move on. 

The Stephen Jackson comments were worse than the original.  "I don't know much about Hitler.  But heard he was a cruel dude." Or something to that effect. I guess we know 99 percent of these guys paid no attention in school.

I think he’s saying that when a white owner and GM keep the white guy after saying awful things and then fire the black guy for saying awful things, it’s a bad look.  That being said, we’ve progressed as a society in 7 years, so I think they could probably get away with it.
I think they should cut Jackson, he’s not worth the hassle. But the original sin was keeping Cooper, another example of someone who probably wasn’t good enough to be worth the hassle.

I don't think they should cut Jackson...but not because he's black or anything to do with Cooper...but because there aren't a lot of Ph.D.'s in professional sports.

See Tyreek Hill and Frank Clark playing for the Super Bowl champs, Cleveland signing Kareem Hunt with video evidence of him stomping on a woman, Greg Hardy getting employment after photo evidence of him assaulting a woman, etc.

Agreed. Jackson 100% deserves to lose his job for this, but him keeping it and this mess he made getting turned into a useful “teachable moment” as they say is probably a more positive outcome overall. And as far as Stephen Jackson goes, he is an idiot. This is the same guy who made an Instagram video bashing all black women and telling young men to never get involved with them because they will ruin their lives while he himself has multiple black daughters. He’s a prick and a moron and always has been dating back to his playing career. Never liked him then either.
