So, Mets pick up 3 (Todd Frazier, Miguel Castro, Robinson Chirinos), Phillies pick another reliever (Phelps), Marlins pick up Sterling Marte, and even the Barves pick up Tommy Millone.  Does anyone think this deadline the Nats are more likely to make the post-season now than they were 24 hours ago?

Overall, it looks like more talent moved into the NL playoff chase  than into the AL when you consider the Clevinger deal, the Rockies pick ups, the Cubs, the Reds too.  Fair to say Rizzo is either a cocky SOB if he still has faith in this outfit, or else he ended up holding the bag on a bunch assets with expiration dates at the end of September.  Maybe both.

Isn’t Frazier the guy who has issues with Eaton?

Wonder if he'll choose to accept the assignment when he's DFA'd...

Gotta be fairly old just to remember the Tom Cruise remake... much less the TV series.

TV Show:

First episode date: September 17, 1966......Final episode date: March 30, 1973

I was 2 weeks into 9th grade when it premiered.  Seems like yesterday...   ;)

They must have had some understanding about where the literal/metaphorical line with "fill a hole at 3B" lies.

Possibly. He felt it his previous start but said it went away. Last night it came back so he pulled himself out. He has 2 more starts remaining but it remains to be seen if he’s capable.

Pulling himself out might be enough for Darvish to get the votes.

Klentak gone as Phillies GM. No word on MacFail.  If he hires the new GM they are doomed.

Joel Sherman is trying his best to double dare the incoming Mets owner into splurging on free agents.
