Jose Marmelejos is on the Marlins roster
Mariners, I think. I wish him well. He's the sort of bat-only prospect that I wonder if the Nats would have kept around if they'd known they had a DH and a 60-man player pool this year.
Braves sign Matt Adams
Lucas Giolito’s first pitch goes over the wall.
Trevor Rosenthal got a save
Jose Marmolejos hit his first career homer for the Mariners. Didn’t realize he made it to the majors. Good for him.
I forgot about him. Always put up big minors stats but didn't have much hype. Between him, Matt Skole, and Chris Marrero we've had a decade of decent first base prospects never take off.
former minor leaguer Sterling Sharp made his debut for the Marlins last night. The Marlins selected him in last year's Rule 5 draft.
was kind of hoping they would have returned him, but the extra large rosters allow him to be kept. That said, it looks like he straight out won a rotation spot.
I still have zero idea why the Nats didn’t protect him.
Does he really throw an 87 MPH fastball?
